Mahogany Pepper Mill

Spalted Maple Oil Lamp

Turned out of Spalted Maple. The oil lamp insert includes the wick (not pictured) and a small bottle lamp oil.

Lidded Box

Turned from a single piece of Ash, this cute little box is just waiting to hold your roll of stamps or emergency piece of chocolate.

This cute little lidded box has found a good home.

Bottle Stoppers

Our bottle stoppers feature a Nickle plated cone with a replaceable O ring. Pictured from Left: Spalted maple; Sheaoak; and Spalted maple. Spalting occurs in the decay process of a dying or dead tree. The result is unique figuring. This is one of our favorite woods to work with.

Box Elder Bowl

So many folks in Minnesota scowl when we tell them we use Box Elder for turning. It seems that for many folks this tree is not much more than an over grown weed! The wood itself is tight grained and very light and creamy in color. Occasionally we find one where the tree had been infected by a fungus: Then we are rewarded with beautiful red figuring.
